Simple moral principles

I’m not sure what the Union Leader meant by accusing the pontiff of “simple moral impulses”, but I would suggest that simple policy prescriptions should be based on simple moral principles.  The policy prescriptions that I would suggest are the church helping the poor and free-market capitalism.  The simple moral principles upon which those are based are putting God first and not stealing.
